FGD on "Industrial Shift in the Post-LDC Era: Strategies for IPR Issues of Key Industries"

As Bangladesh prepares for its scheduled graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) category, strengthening its Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) regime has become increasingly important for enhancing the competitiveness of domestic industries and facilitating their sustainable integration into international markets. A robust legal, regulatory, and institutional framework for IPR will be essential to protecting innovation, encouraging investment, promoting technology transfer, and enabling Bangladeshi businesses to compete effectively in the post- graduation era.

Against this backdrop, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) and Economic Relations Division (ERD), under the Support to Sustainable Graduation Project (SSGP), jointly organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) titled “Industrial Shift in the Post-LDC Era: Strategies for IPR Issues of Key Industries” on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the DCCI Auditorium. The event aims to identify the challenges and prospects of IPR issues in the post-LDC era and policy reforms based on local industrial needs for smooth transition.
